Octagonal Jewelry Box - Handmade from Natural Rosewood

This octagonal rosewood jewelry box is handmade as a reproduction of the Chinese ancient model. It comes with a hinged lid with mirror inwards & a tray beneath, and 2 doors that hide 3 drawers behind.

The box is highly polished and covered with only a layer of wax oil to have the wood grain emerged overall (there is no lacquer or paint on surface). The wood grain may vary on each box of even the same model as it is made from the natural wood.

Craft

• Handmade mortise and tenon joints overall including the small drawers, making sure the box won't be broken
• Options to choose the boxes that have engraved designs on five faces, or plain wood surface

Material

• Options to choose Suanzhi wood or Huali wood, from which the boxes are made
• Metal hinge, handle, latch & accessory (the lock is unavailable if it is shown in the image)

     The Suanzhi wood was sourced from Laos, it looks dark reddish-brown in color with beautiful and varied wood grain, it features heaviness (the Suanzhi wood may sink in water) and slightly fragrant smell
     The Huali wood was sourced from Burma, it looks dark yellow in color with beautiful and varied wood grain
     Both Suanzhi & Huali wood are the types of rosewood. The wood surface on the box may vary over time - the longer to use, the darker in tone it gets
